Try these pizza grilling tips for a perfectly grilled pizza every time.
Preparation:
- We recommend a Boboli Thin or
100% Whole
Wheat Crust
for your grilled
pizza to ensure the
toppings are cooked throughout.
- Make sure all the meat on the pizza is cooked before placing the fully-prepared pizza on the grill.
Instructions for Grilling:
- Lightly brush the top (cheese side) of the Boboli crust with extra-virgin olive oil.
- Place oiled side down on medium-heat grill, with a closed cover, for 1-2 minutes or until
grilled side is golden or toasted.
- Remove crust from grill, flip over and top the grilled side. Use fewer toppings than when baking a pizza, or else the crust will cook before toppings are melted.
- Place crust back on grill over indirect medium heat (or on a piece of aluminum foil) for 3-4 minutes with cover closed. Find a balance between keeping the cover closed so the
heat gets to the toppings, and also keep an eye on the pizza so the bottom doesn’t burn.
- Cook until cheese is melted and crust is golden, cook times may vary.
